Welcome back to another lab report. Last week students began diving into computer programming. I was impressed with their collaborative efforts and perseverance. We will be continuing our programming unit this week by expanding on the skills we learned last week.
All of the students work may be shared via text message. Please let your child know if it is okay for them to send you a data text with their unique creation. You may wish to write down your phone number if they do not have it memorized. You would then have access to their game/story.
Grade Levels at a Glance:
Kindergartners will be learning more about the variety of different research opportunities online. They will partake in a "genius hour" in order to research a topic of their choosing with Brain Pop.First and second graders will be advancing beyond drawing with coding into storytelling. They will create their own stories through micro-videos generated by their own coding. Third and fourth grade will be expanding on their storytelling and creating interactive games.
All of these activities are building on sequencing, logic, and problem solving skills as well as a variety of other practical applications. I encourage you to check out your child's activity yourself by clicking the homepage links.
